Day 01 – Airport / Pinnawela / Sigiriya
The world’s first and largest elephant orphanage which houses 81 elephants of three generations is located by river Mahaoya in Pinnawala, Sri Lanka. The facility houses many elephants who has come to the orphanage as babies abandoned and injured in the while. It also provides refuge to adult elephants who has sustained injury in the hands of humans or who have lost their limbs to mines during the thirty years long war.
Continue the journey to Sigiriya, the rock fortress of beautiful damsels.
Declared as the 8th world wonder and a UNESCO heritage site, Sigiriya was the fortress of King Kasyapa, the patricidal king who ruled over Sri Lanka during the fifth century. The king modelled a lion shaped rock fortress and a palace within perimeters in fear of his revenge seeking brother and fate. World celebrated for the frescoes of lovely damsels, Sigiriya and its architecture continue to amaze the world even today.

Day 02 – Sigiriya / Matale/ Kandy
After breakfast proceed to Kandy, the last kingdom of Sri Lanka and its cultural capital and stop at one of country’s celebrated spice gardens.
Sri Lanka has been known for its aromatic and taste enhancing spices across the world for centuries and even today is one of the leading producers of best cinnamon in the world. Take time to appreciate the skills and time poured into producing the best spices and purchase some for your own pantry, on your way to Kandy.
Located 488 meters above sea level and surrounded by beautiful mountains Kandy is home to the country’s last royal palace and the temple of the tooth relic. Named as a Heritage City for its concentrated cultural richness Kandy overwhelms its visitors with many cultural and natural attractions including
- Famous Hindu and Skanda shrine
- The Royal Botanical Garden Peradeniya, which houses one of the finest plant and orchid specimens in South Asia.
- The University of Peradeniya, country’s most scenic university founded by British 60 Years ago
- Public market place of Kandy
- Gem Museum.

Day 03 – Kandy / Nuwaraeliya
Enjoy the magnificent display of central Sri Lanka’s natural beauty filled with water falls, rivers and mist clad mountains carpeted in green on your way to Nuwara Eliya, the highest mountain terrain in Sri Lanka.
Located at an altitude of 2510 meters above sea level, it was once the playground of Colonial Britishers, known as little England for its climate and surroundings quite similar to mid-size town in Victorian England.
Even today most of its architecture reminiscence that of 19th Century England and feels like a journey back in time.
Visit a tea garden dotted with British colonial bungalows surrounded with fragrant flower gardens and witness the making of world’s best tea from the plucking of the leaf onwards. Enjoy a fresh cuppa while watching the tea pluckers at work and give a start to a life time habit of Ceylon tea.

Day 04 – Nuwaraeliya / Bentota
Head to one of Sri Lanka’s favourite beach resorts, Bentota after breakfast while enjoying the spectacular natural display on your way.
Situated at a lagoon, where the Benthara River meets the sea, Bentota is a vibrant resort city with a cluster of tourist hotels, shopping arcades, restaurants and an open air theatre which holds traditional cultural shows and modern concerts.

Day 05 – Bentota / Colombo
Proceed next day to Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka and commence a city tour of sightseeing and shopping. Explore Fort, the former administration bastille of British Ceylon, the Old Parliament Building, a Hindu temple and a Dutch Church.
Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Aukana Buddha Statue and Independence Square. Spend an afternoon shopping at the country’s best bargain centres including House of Fashion, ODEL, and Noritake Porcelain centre.
