Day 01 & 02 - Colombo International Airport /Colombo
On arrival at the Colombo International Airport.
You will get your first taste of warm Sri Lanka hospitality: Representative from Rosen Tours (Pvt) Limited will welcome you and transfer to Global Tower in Colombo.
Colombo – The capital of Sri Lanka is located in the west coast. Guests will be taken on a city tour that includes: Fort, the former British administrative center, a Hindu Temple, and a Dutch Church. Also the BMICH, see the replica of Awukana Buddha Statue and Independence Square.
Shopping tour is added, and the guests can shop at famous garments, Noritake Porcelain Center.
Day 03 - Colombo/Kandy
Kandy is the last capital of the Sinhala kings of Sri Lanka, which ceded to the British throne in 1815 closing the uninterrupted Sri Lanka history of native kings for 2500 years, Kandy is an example of the Buddhism influence in Sri Lanka today. Temple’s shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions are everywhere. Located 448 meters above sea level and surrounded by the beautiful mountains and valleys. Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic – ever since 4th Century A.D. when the Buddha’s Tooth was drought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hand in an Orissan princess’ hair, the Relic has grown in repute and holiness in Sri Lanka and throughout the Buddhist world. It is considered Sri Lanka’s most prized possession.
Recently, Kandy has been named as a “Heritage City”. Also do city tour in Kandy Town.
Sightseeing & shopping Tour in Kandy. The other places of interest include, Upper Lake Drive Market Square, Art and Craft and Gem Museum.
Evening you can see a Cultural show, reenacting the traditional forms of Dance and Music of Sri Lanka.
Day 04 & 05 - Kandy/Pinnawala & back-City Tour
Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is an orphanage and breeding ground established in 1975 for abandoned elephants in Sri Lanka. Pinnawala is located on Rambukkana Road, near Kegalla, Sri Lanka, and is currently home to one of the largest elephant herds in captivity in the world with more than sixty elephants.
Visitors to the park can view many different aspects of the care and daily routine of the elephants including watching the babies being hand-fed from large bottles, as well as being able to observe the elephants walk to and bathe in the nearby Maha Oya River
Day 06 - Kandy/N’Eliya
Then visit Royal Botanical Gardens at Peredeniya. Kandy is around four miles from this botanical garden and it dates back to the reign of King Vikrama Bahu III who reigned in the fourteenth century. A large variety of decorative plants and other creepers that are used to produce the special spices of Sri Lanka are found in Peredeniya Botanical Garden. Huge tropical trees are found through the length and breathe of the lawns. The orchid house in the garden is really worth a visit. There are more than three hundred varieties of superb orchids blooming in profusion. The spice garden in the park has trees and plants used for preparing traditional Ayurweda medicine. The magnificence of the garden is heightened by the Mahaweli River which flows through its outer edge.
Day 07 & 08 - N’Eliya
From Kandy the next destination is Nuwara Eliya. Enjoy the magnificent scenery of Water Falls, mist – clad mountains, British – style houses with fragrant flower gardens. Visit a tea factory, which manufactures the best quality high grown tea in Sri Lanka and refresh yourself for a freshly brewed Sri Lanka tea. Tea plucking which in itself is a fine art is the exclusive domain of women – thousands of whom are employed in the famous tea gardens of Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya is the highest mountain terrain in Sri Lanka, located an altitude of 2510 meters above sea level. This hill capital of Sri Lanka was named by the British as “Little England”.
Day 09 & 10 - N’Eliya/Bentota
Bentota city is famous for golden beaches; Bentota is situated on the southern coastal tip of the Galle District of the Southern Province. The town is a popular tourist attraction. It is especially famous among the foreign tourists. The name comes from a mythical story which dates back to kings time saying a demon called Bem ruled this river ( tota = river bank. Bentota hosts a handful of world proclaimed hotels. It is the hosting land for the famous Sri Lankan Jeweler Aida. Bentota also delivers an ancient art of healing called Ayurweda. Bentota is also famous for its production in Toddy. An alcoholic beverage made out of coconut nectar
